Aries New Moon
With the Moon and Sun in Aries, we enter the beginning of this Astrological New Year. We just experienced the spring equinox and now, in the Northern hemisphere, the light is returning and along with it the heat of the incoming summer. Aries is the archetypal pionier, the leader and the initiator, always ushering in the charge that keep things fresh. This goes for all you out there who have Aries placements or for whatever house you find Aries opening. This is where we find the pure energy that pushes each of us into being. The power of birth. The force of life itself.
This is most potent New Moon to align with, as Aries has both the energy and natural confidence in the new, even if they don’t know this about themselves. The mode of Aries to charge ahead into the place where the wick becomes the flame. The holy transformation that is you. They have no care for plans, structure or strategy, and indeed, with such a force, they don’t need them.
Libra Full Moon
With the Sun, Chiron and Venus all in the sign of Aries, we may touch into the tender feelings of isolation. The wounds in relationships where we have felt not enough or too much. The search to be fully yourself does not end in isolation, but instead, the path continues until you find recognition in relationship of the person you know yourself to be. We are not here to be separate but instead to grow towards interconnectedness.
Pisces New Moon
Today, the New Moon is occuring in the sign of Pisces and at its darkest phase of the lunar cycle. This time is about new beginnings and fresh starts.
It may be difficult during this time to get in touch with what is real because Neptune has such a dream-like quality. Acceptance and compassion can be utilized as a way to loosen the areas where we are the hard on ourselves and allows for a deeply felt sense of peace, but it may feel slow to come because so much has to be lined up in the same direction. On the other hand, the tool of acceptance can also be used for complacency, self delusionment and numbing out as a way to cope with overwhelm. We may all be tempted to be lulled into a dreamland that hangs like colored glass in front of reality. If this starts to come up for you, find a way to be in your body because Spirit is the ever connected presence throughout the conduit of the body.
Virgo Full Moon
With the Moon in the sign of Virgo, you remember your body is your vessel.
Your skin, sacred and permeable, light pressing against it. On the smallest subtle levels, there is not much different between you and the room. Your feet push footprints in sand. Dust billows as you dance, always collecting in the quietest corners. Your damp cloth turns dark with where you once were, as you wash. With Virgo here, the mundane becomes magical as spirals of silt are moved by the flow of water. For the Sun in Pisces, water is life, down to each cell the delicate light of compassion moves through and away, bringing with it everything that no longer serves you.
Aquarius New Moon
With Aquarius, we will keep the ideal in view.
To live and to grow to understand
the complex reality that
we are made from all of our living experiences
and something so vast
it encompasses all of the known universe.
We are connected.
Leo Full Moon
With this Full Moon in Leo, we are invited to take pride in being a child of nature. We are asked to state, “I belong and I am here to be all that I can be!” With the Sun and Jupiter at the same degree and opposite the glow of the Moon in the sign of Aquarius, finding the humanity in our own life dramas and the deep threads of connection from the personal to the collective will be made easier. With the Square to Uranus, the planet of awakening, we may even expand beyond where you have previously thought was the edge.
Capricorn New Moon
This is a beginning of a Cycle of the Moon in Capricorn. As the Sun and Moon stand together and look out as one on the view of our world, and this time they are joining Transformative Pluto. Imagine these three beings standing together, seeing as one and sharing one voice. The way things once were is no longer, and the new way is created in each of us. Grow rooted enough to bear it.
Ellias Lonsdale’s book, Inside Degrees describes the energy imprint of 23º Capricorn, “The secret instructions are writ on your innermost being and you know them implicitly.”
These intentions will be touched by the Moon’s transits through Capricorn each month, and the Moon will be Full in the sign of Capricorn on June 24, 2021, just over six months from now. This is the time when the Sun and Moon will be opposite each other in the sky, and viewing each other as from across a dinner table. The intentions you set in the sign of Capricorn today will be fully illuminated on this day in June.
Stay rooted in what is most nourishing for us all.
Cancer Full Moon
In the sign of Cancer, the Moon is at home.
This means the energies of the Moon are matched with those of Cancer. Ruling over all that is unconscious, internal and emotional, the Moon is concerned with what helps us to feel safe and secure in ourselves. This goes beyond the structures of the physical. Home is also where the heart is.
So, along this line, family is also a theme of Cancer, and again, this goes beyond to whom we were born. It is chosen family and the belief systems we inherited, everything and everyone we find familiar and the presence of our ancestors that live on through us.
Sagittarius New Moon
This New Moon conjoining the Sun in Sagittarius will feel much more pointed and clear. We are sharpening our arrows and testing our aim as these luminous celestial bodies align.
The blessing with Sagittarius is their sense of wonder. A choice of what direction does not weigh heavy, things do not need to be fully analysed or planned for them to move onward. The journey and all that is found along the way is inextricably part of the whole adventure. This is what Faith is.
Sagittarius is on this quest, to see more. Always aiming the arrow in the direction of uncharted waters and through the adventure, developing a Faith that is greater than all of the chaos and change.
Gemini Full Moon
During the eclipse, the Earth’s shadow will be cast across the surface of the moon. With this full moon, we enter the first of a series of eclipses in Gemini and Sagittarius that will be happening for the next year and a half.
These signs are both concerned with finding truth but each have very different methods of becoming satisfied with what they have found. Gemini sorts all the data and Sagittarius take direction from the call of faith.
From our current vantage point, we may be too close to a situation where we are seeking the truth to see it unshrouded. Like trying to see a paper on our desk only lit from the back, the Earth’s shadow may spell out words that are not what they seem in the light of day.
Scorpio New Moon
Whatever is happening for you, happens on the path of your life. A labyrinth has no dead ends, only confusing twists and turns. Whatever step you take, you are taking it in the direction of your own center.
Today, on the 14th of November at 9:07 p.m. PST, the Moon is hidden in the breadth of the Sun, both at 23° 17'. Called the new moon because she is not reflecting any of the Sun's light, she is clear and ready to begin a new.
Taurus Full Moon
The Taurus full moon will be making an appearance this Halloween. In a Venus ruled sign, we will see themes related to our values and our sense of self-worth that will be shining with clarity, thought it’s possible we may not always like what we see. If this is the case, it’s time to get real with your self love.
